Visiting Odiham for a wedding or an RAF occasion
Coming for a wedding at one of the country house venues nearby, or to see family at RAF Odiham? Here's the practical stuff from the village.

Staying for a wedding nearby
Odiham is a handy, quieter base for weddings at the country house venues round here, with pubs for the night before and a proper breakfast the morning after. These venues all say on their own websites that they host weddings. Drive times are from the High Street and rough.

Tylney Hall, Rotherwick
A Grade II-listed country house hotel near Hook, with its own wedding team.
The Elvetham, Hartley Wintney
A country house hotel with indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces.
Northbrook Park, near Farnham
A Grade II-listed 18th-century house used for weddings and events, on the Hampshire side of Farnham.
Tips from the village
- Book taxis early, both ways. Don't count on finding one waiting in the evening, and there are no late buses.
- Getting ready: there are several salons and a barber on the High Street, including Millie Jones Hair, HadleySimmons and Backstage Barbers, and most book online. Book well ahead for a Saturday.
- Forgotten something? Odiham Card Shop does cards, alterations and dry cleaning, Moutan is the village florist and the Co-op is open late.
- The morning after: breakfast at Bel & the Dragon (every morning from 8am), the Red Lion (early from Friday to Sunday) or Newlyns Farm Café (until 2pm).
Visiting family at RAF Odiham
RAF Odiham, just south of the village, is home to the UK's Chinook helicopter force, and military flying has gone on here since 1926. If you're coming for a graduation, a families day or a homecoming, follow the arrangements your family member or the station gives you for getting onto the base. We only cover the village side.
- Getting here: train to Hook, then the 13 bus or a taxi, or the M3 at junction 5. See Getting here for parking in the village.
- Somewhere to eat together: the High Street pubs and restaurants are a few minutes' drive from the station, and most take bookings. Eat and drink in Odiham.
- Swim Odiham, the pool that serves the station, is open to the public, which is handy with children.
- The history: our chapter on RAF Odiham covers the station from the 1920s to the Chinooks.
- Christmas: the Odiham Military Wives Choir sings carols on 3 December 2026. See Christmas in Odiham.
Other places to stay
There are pubs with rooms on the High Street and hotels nearby, all on Where to stay. Wedding venues often hold rooms for guests, so ask the couple first.
